- Whats On 2023-24
What’s On!
We have had a busy start to 2023 with another three group exhibitions still to go ….
- Texas Art Gallery ‘Open Ended Revised’ from 11 April to 13 May.
- ‘Journey on the Border’ – our traveling exhibition focusing on works developed in our 2022 Workshop Series is on at the Glen Innes Art Gallery from March 25 – 22 April.
- 9th of June – 21st of July will be a major group exhibition with new original works as well as those inspired by our 2022 Workshop Series in our final showing of ‘Journey on the Border’ at Inverell Regional Gallery. This gallery has a large and beautiful exhibiting space and we look forward to filling it!
Then that’s it for Borderline group shows for this year. Our Artists will have a chance to get back to their studios and into our workshop series commencing July 1st.
As 2025 will bring our biennial group exhibition at Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery together with another one or two major group shows we plan for 2024 to be a chance for our members to deepen their practices and build on our workshop series with Art Camps and Play Days. We are planning for a couple of group exhibitions, including a mid-year show at Artists Collective Studio in Tenterfield.
……..
You can also see our members’ work at
- ‘Australian Art Award’ at Artists Collective Studio Gallery Tenterfield on till April 27th.
And on the first Saturday of each month

Members can join us for Art Play
- Borderline’s ‘Drop In Art’ days format is changing. Rather than an open-ended weekday once a month, there will be material-specific days to come and play. These days will be announced via email and will have a material focus, for example, Gelli plates or using the printing press. We have acquired new materials for workshops and have extra for members to play with. These materials include (but are not limited by!) a Gelli Plate Printing kit, printmaking inks, oil sticks, other mark-making materials and a wide range of papers (hot and cold pressed). ‘Drop In Art’ days will be an opportunity for members to play with the materials they may not have tried under the guidance of more experienced members.

- Deepwater 2023 Market
Deepwater 2023 Market
Deepwater Art Show was back on the map this year with many of our Artists entering 1 or 2 works and most selling at least 1 piece. The exhibition itself was incredible, artists and visitors came from all over the country. We took the opportunity to set up a stall to spotlight our organisation and members.
The pieces came from our regular Open Studio and Market Day ‘box’ that we run on the 1st Saturday of the month from our home at the Barracks, in the Tenterfield Railway Museum. Each month we have a featured Artist or two. These Artists bring along a larger selection of their works and are available to talk about their own art processes as well as Borderline in general. Artists Louise Jenkins and Gay Landeta were our featured Artists at Deepwater. We had a busy – close to sell-out – day with many people loving the chance to buy works at such special prices.
We are open every month on the 1st Saturday of the month at the Tenterfield Railway Museum from 9 till noon.
