Naomi is a Contemporary Indigenous Australian artist, a descendant of the Wiradjuri and Djaara peoples of New South Wales and Victoria, living in Stanthorpe, Queensland. Over a career spanning more than 46 years, she has worked as an artist, textile designer, educator, and senior designer, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Curtin University.
Her work is held in private and public collections in Australia and internationally, and she has received numerous awards, including the Hawkesbury Art Award.
Working primarily in acrylic and collage, Naomi has developed a distinctive layered technique using coloured tissue paper beneath and across painted surfaces. Her work draws on memory, travel, dreams, and cultural inheritance, blending abstraction and landscape with Indigenous visual language, pattern, and design.
