What’s On in the second half of 2022!

Borderline Arts Open Studio and Market Day – 1st Saturday of Each Month

Watch our Artists at work and browse our market (all pieces under $50) at The Barracks, The Railway Museum, Tenterfield on the first Saturday of each month. We are there from 8 till noon.

Borderline Drop-in Art Days – the 4th Wednesday of each month beginning at 10am.

Being an artist can be a lonely existence and so we have set up a monthly play date for members, a regular day for members to come along with something they can work on, with the option to use materials and equipment stored at The Barracks. These include etching press, mixed media drawing and painting materials, plaster, desk top easels, and lino printing inks. Have a bit of collegiate studio time!

If you are a member keep an eye out for the minutes and if you aren’t we love new members! See more about us in the About Us section.

Our WORKSHOP Series 2022

The Borderline Workshop Series for 2022 began with Joolie Gibbs for The Real Selfie: Up Close and Personal 19th – 20th Feb 2022 in the Borderline Room in the Engine Driver’s Cottage, at Tenterfield Railway Museum.

Following on from this was Sketchbook Journalling and Low Relief Resin Casting with Deb Mostert on the 2nd and 3rd of April.

June saw our members creating some amazing items in our third workshop Making Art Objects from Plant Materials with Helle Jorgensen.

August will see our final workshop for the year Ceramic Sculpture with Maggie Brockie. Maggie is a very talented ceramicist who is well known for her evocative wildlife pieces. This will be a fabulous weekend!

This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.

Watch out for more later in the year and our exhibition Journeys on the Border to follow….
