Francine Christensen

I grew up playing in the bush and swimming in the creek which is when my appreciation for nature started.  I started painting and drawing at ten years old. I studied at the Seven Hills College of Arts in Brisbane for three years after school.
I had a break from art for several years until moving to the Granite Belt.  Since moving  to acerage on the Granite Belt I have found inspiration in the beauty and diversity of extremes that surround me. I have a passion for wildlife and find inspiration in my own backyard. I hope you can feel my inspiration and passion when you view my work.
I have had work in joint exhibitions in the Stanthorpe art gallery on several occasions.  I was very excited to win 1st and 2nd prize in the Pastels division at the Stanthorpe show in 2020 and 2021.  I’ll be having an exhibition in the Stanthorpe Art gallery in August 2023.
